Ramco Systems began its commercial operations in 1993. Originally established as a division of Ramco Industries Ltd. in 1989, Ramco Systems was demerged as an independent company in April 1999. Headquartered in Chennai (India), it operates globally through wholly- or majority-owned subsidiaries. With over fourteen offices across seven countries, Ramco Systems provides enterprise solutions and offshore applications development services to over a thousand customers. Ramco offers a portfolio of software products and services, including enterprise applications, e-commerce and networking applications, strategic services, and enterprise process solutions to the collaborative commerce market.
Ramco's presence in the enterprise application space involves a number of vertical markets, such as service organizations (financial, government, education, and health care); asset intensive organizations (aviation, fleet management, and utilities); and manufacturing industries (process and discrete). In each vertical market, Ramco offers both packaged solutions fulfilling vertical and horizontal needs, and custom solutions meeting specialized needs. Delivered as a subscription service, On Demand ERP is
available for small to mid-sized businesses looking for a low initial investment
and reduced overhead and maintenance. It is available in select markets.
On Demand ERP can be delivered through a web browser and entirely
through the Internet. Ramco On Demand ERP is a robust, full-featured ERP
solution. Customers in over 1,000 locations use the system every day.
