Now known as Solarsoft, the company offers enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems to manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers and merchants. TROPOS was developed by SSI as a modular ERP system to support the process model of manufacturing and the concept of demand-pull. TROPOS has been used in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & drink, textiles, paper, packaging, metals and electronics. Rapid configuration and simple integration were original design principles, making TROPOS the ideal backbone for the extended ERP environment.
